Mystery, This Is The Place. Radio drama. SLC, UT. Original Music and Sound Design: The Abracadabra Man 2004 Joyce Cohen Dir. Music composed and sound design by Joe Payne ©2004. Recorded at Metropolis Integrated Media, engineered by Ken Kruckenburg. directed by Joyce Cohen. This is the first in hopefully a continuing venture by Joyce Cohen to produce radio murder mysteries in Salt Lake City, Utah. It's a fun story and a terrific concept. I truly hope it continues for a great number of years. This is just a clip of the music and effects that I created for the project. You'll have to tune into NPR in SLC to hear the rest. |

Original Music and Sound Design: B$LL 2001 directed by Helen Richardson , NY International Fringe Festival. Music © 2001 by Joe Payne. I thought this is an interesting piece to mention. It's music created for a performance art piece called B$LL (that's Bill with a dollar sign), about the rise of Bill Gates. It was performed at the The Fringe Festival in NYC, and I was given kudos by the press. Most interestingly, it was my very first attempt at music creation by using Sony's Acid. Boy, did this change my life, as you can see from recent projects. |
