Paint Your Wagon © 2007 Pioneer Theatre
Company.
During the Title song, the entire country is fixated on
moving west to strike it rich. On a screen that looked like a huge
cowhide, we saw images of gold miners, prostitutes, Asian workers, and towns
that cropped up. The images were found by our scenic designer, but
then I turned them into a film to create more of a Ken Burns type feel.

A very cute construction of the Eiffel Tower. Watch
past the black and still image intro to get to the fun stuff. An
homage to Terry Gilliam.

The Ladies Man slide examples
Here is an example of the slides that were shown during scene
changes. The music was Strauss waltzes, and the Moulin Rouge was
prominently featured in the script.

Julius Caesar

Video projected onto the set during scene shifts. The
action takes place in a very near future. Video of a ghostly Caesar
looming above Brutus, giving him nightmares, and images of war and riots
during scene transitions.

Chicago

Created in Poser. The death of Hunyak, projected above
the band. In the script it was suggested to be shadow play. This
is our variation.

Measure for Measure © 2005 Salt Lake
Shakespeare.
These projections were shown on the set to emulate some sort
of security system, showing all of the filth that the city had become.
The sequence ended in a series of images of the young lovers, and Angelo's
reaction to them on stage.
